Marci Heiser, http://www.dramaticflaircostumes.com
Marci has a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Costume Construction from the Univ. of North Carolina School of the Arts, and has worked on costumes for Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Opera Colorado, Arvada Center for the Arts, Red Rocks Community College, and others, as well as for private clients for 40 years. She has also done wedding alterations at David’s Bridal (Westminster). She can create from drawings or pictures as well as patterns. Her favorite historical period is Victorian but she has worked in many historical periods, plus theatrical, fantasy, and dance. She is located in Broomfield, Colorado.
Marci’s specialty is creating historical costumes (or close facsimiles) from found garments (she loves thrift stores). Sustainability is a concern! Marci can teach pattern-drafting and fitting, also. Fabric identification and use, and historical fashion, are part of my training too.
Marci can take one or two mentees at a time (probably not together).
